Rihanna - Music Of The Sun

The lady behind "pon deh replay" finally steps to the forefront with this new album. What is a lil suprising is her age, being that she is only 17. One would think she was a lil older but this dosent take away anything from the music. A lot of people think she is from jamacia or trying to act like it but shes actually from barbados and you can hear that listening to the cd. Musically and lyrically she made a good cd. Her voice isnt as strong as say a fantasia but in time as she gets older im sure she will have it together some more. On this she has reggae, soca, r+B and hip hop, and a ballad here and there. Songs like:

*Here I go again
*You dont love me
*Willing to wait
*Music of the sun
*rush
*There's a thug in my life
*Now I know

These songs right here are the highlights of the album. Anyone expecting to hear anything like mariah carey's protege or more can go else where. However, do expect to get a nice reggae, carribean flavored album with good singing and lyrics to back it up.
