Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" is one turgid song about boyfriend stealing. There's the quasi-cheerleader anthem of "Hey! Hey! You! You! I don't like your girlfriend!" There's some useless cussing tossed in to show that yes,Avril, everybody's favorite fake punk Canadian,is all grown-up now. "Girlfriend" is annoying rather than catchy because hey,hey,you,you,can't write lyrics.
